Privacy

Plotlay is operated by Asset Arc Services in South Australia ("we"). This page explains what we collect and why. In short: your drawings stay on your device unless you choose to sync them, and we never sell your data.
Using Plotlay without an account
Projects, drawings, photos and asset lists are stored in your browser (IndexedDB) and never sent to us. Map tiles and address searches are fetched from the map providers you choose (for example OpenStreetMap, Esri, Mapbox or Google), and those providers see the map area you view and your IP address, under their own privacy terms.
With an account
- Account: your email address and a display name, used to sign you in and to contact you about your account.
- Cloud projects: when you turn on sync for a project, its contents and images are stored with our database provider, Supabase, in Sydney, Australia. Only you, members of a team you share it with, and people holding a share link you created can open it.
- Share links: anyone with a link can view that project read-only until the link expires or you turn it off.
- Field data: GPS positions, accuracy and photos you capture are part of your project and handled the same way. We don't track your location in the background.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your plan, billing status and the country of your card, never your full card number.
Sign-in links and team invitations are sent through Resend. We send account and billing emails only; there's no marketing list unless you ask to join one.
Cookies and analytics
Plotlay stores your sign-in session and preferences in your browser. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
Keeping and deleting data
Delete a cloud project at any time from the Projects screen. To delete your account and everything in it, email hello@plotlay.io from the address on the account; we act on requests within 30 days. Billing records are kept as tax law requires.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act you can ask for a copy of your personal information or for it to be corrected. Contact hello@plotlay.io. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
